see im a little embarrassed cuz i just bought a really beautiful bathing suit from bloomingdales for 124 dolars the reason i bought is cuz im going to the lake tomorrow for my mothers birthday and i didnt have a bathing suit and of course i waited to the last minute to get one see it i made my boyfriend wait for a very long time in this one store and couldnt find anything that fits cuz i have an odd body type im not fat but im definately curvy, anyway i just tried all the ones i liked at bloomingdales cuz it was the closest store -the closest mall to us is sorta a fancy one- and there was only one that fit really good and it was really pretty so i wondering if i should take it back if it rains tomorrow and we dont go to the lake? is it worth it? how much should one invest in a bathing suit?:&amy

No,I definitely wouldn't spend that much on a bathing suit. I don't go swimming much,so I just have a cheap bikini. I have swam in my bra/panties on the spur of the moment, but I wouldn't advice that :D Just swimming in some shorts and a tank top isn't so bad though.

A bazillion dollars if i had it amy!! I did get a suit that cost lots once... it just fit so good. Now though, Wally (if you shop there) has really great suits in ALL sizes (i'm anything from 18-24!). Tankinis and all... cute and cheap.
If you don't swim often i would take it back if it rains. In the summer (well, last summer... just moved to IL) i swam everyday so i had a couple suits. If you use it keep it!

I personally wouldn't spend that much on a bathing suit..........
my favorite bikini i've ever worn was bought at walmart for $14! It was yellow & orange tye dye. If you take it back for a refund and still want another bathing suit, maybe try Marshalls or TJ max.....they have cheap suits. But then again, if you find it that hard to find a bikini that fits you right then it might be worth it to keep it. Like with me, I love courdoroy pants but I like them to fit a certain way so I might spend a little more on a pair that fit just right that I know I'll wear all the time.

skinny dip, free is my favourite price.

    I wouldn't pay more than £20 ($30ish dollars) for a nice bikini/swimming costume.

the two 50 dollars each maturnity swimsuits i had bought.it was hot and i was misrable being big and pregnant during the summer. they're also the only two suits that have ever fit me comfortably. usually i just buy something cheap, that looks terrible on me, doesn't fit well and makes me wanna run and hide. shaving sucks.:p

i would spend 50 to 80 dollars....but if it was really really nice..and i luved it..i would pay 300 for it...in my opinion more expensive clothes are better taylored and are made from better fabrics ... they are just better quality than walmart stuff...

i'm not a snob, and i don't wear labels and advertise for companys...but stores like bloomingdales, parisian, von mauer, etc....have very nice clothes...

the reason why ur suit fits so well is because it came from what u would call a "fancy" store...

all i have to say is DO NOT Listen to the mama's on here....ur suit is quality and will last u as long as it fits u....if u luv it...and can afford it...money is not an issue...

man i felt like shit for a year when i spent only $50 on a bathing suit. I could never pay that much for one. But i know how it is to have a hard time finding things with an odd body....that's how i am with pants- big ass, wide hips...small waist, tiny legs....i dont make sense! But since i can't spend $120 on pants...or anything for that matter, lol.... i just make skirts and stick with the few pairs i have. So yeah, i understand how you feel, and i would say keep it, but if you don't wear it, shop around some more, and if you find something better, then return it.
