i am thinking of going on suboxone soon for a opiate addiction that has me taking 240 mg. of oxycontin a day plus smoking black tar heroin like three or 4 times a week. if i go to a doc how much sub is prescribed for this addiction? like 12 mgs? more or less?

Why are you worried about the dose they will put you on? Sub docs are experienced and they know what dose of Sub to give you...just trust the doctor.

Yeah you will be fine with the dosage the doctor supplies you with. Suboxone works surprisingly good so you have nothing to worry about as I've seen many people take less than they are prescribed and are perfectly fine.

Let the docs decide that's why so very few are allowed to do this treatment and if your looking to get high still save your money and stick with OC's a lot cheaper, Suboxone treatment is expensive.

Dude, really? That's not gonna help him, you give terrible advice. He wants to get better, and suboxone DOESN'T get you high, that's what's so great about it... Unlike methadone, it helps you get clean without getting high, which is what keeps us addicted to begin with. I am pretty sure that the 240mg of OC he is spending on a day, is WAY more expensive than sub treatment...

Lets do some gorilla math... 240mg = (3 x 80mg pills) and since ((1)80mg pill = $40) Sooo... that's (3x$40) = $120 a day!!! PLUS the 4x a week of black tar... NOT TO MENTION the terrible damage the black tar is doing to his system... I would have to conclude that Suboxone treatment is better both financially and healthwise... DO IT!!! Stay strong brother... get clean and if you complete that, a longer life will be your reward --- totally sappy I know :cheers2:

I guess it came out wrong in context, the Suboxone dosage will be worked out by a doctor is all I am saying, so no worries there. My friend has paid over 3 grand in 3 months so far out of pocket on his treatment, his insurance would not cover it.That's a big lump of change.I agree it sounds like its time to get clean and the OP shouldn't worry.

I am sorry, but the way he worded it, made it sound like he wants to know up front EXACTLY how much sub he is going to get. The only reason you would want to know that is if you were planning on selling it...

The doctor bases how much he gives you off of your current usage...so asking how much you will get is a really odd question, unless, like I said, you want to know how much you think you will get so you can sell it. Suboxone sells suprisingly well on the streets.

I am not saying this is exactly what he is doing, but it also didn't sound like he was really ready to stop his habit with the way he worded his post, so the attack against Natas666 wasn't really necessary.

CSU, no offense, but ever post I have seen from you screams of troll. You have the most random posts (whats the best method of snorting oxy, what angle do you hold the straw, how hard you snort, etc.) and you really have nothing valuable to add to the current discussion. You remind me of Chester McEnroe from Opiophile, if anyone is familiar with that.

Regardless, I really can't take you seriously until I see some more intelligent posts from you.

no i am not planning on selling it at all. i was just curious to see whether or not i would be getting enough sub from the doctor so i could get off oxy for good and not crave it anymore. i have read stories of people who were not prescribed enough suboxone and they quit it within a week. i just wanna make sure that if im spending that much on something that will help me quit, i want it to work. thats all.

Just be honest with your doctor. Tell him if it isn't enough, don't be afraid. Shit, he should be able to tell if it's enough or not if you come in there STILL in wd's.

Dude your friend is getting completely ripped off, 1000 dollars a month is insane. Usually a bottle of 30 8 mgs is around 150 -300 dollars. Fuck these doctors trying to rip off addicts , it's not like they need the extra money. And good luck trojanman, i'm trying to get clean myself.

Feelings Of U4ia, While I'm sure you won't admit it, you ARE wrong in this instance. If you actually read the point of the posts correctly you would realize that my posts were on topic...
trojanman22 said, "i am thinking of going on suboxone soon for a opiate addiction that has me taking 240 mg. of oxycontin a day plus smoking black tar heroin like three or 4 times a week." WHICH does sound like " he was really ready to stop his habit with the way he worded his post," <--- Quote from you--> "so the attack against Natas666 wasn't really necessary." 1) There was no attack 2) He can defend himself

Also, "no offense but you scream of zitfaced dork who truly lacks offline social skills." Your senseless need to openly attack a newcomer to an ONLINE web forum just proves your immaturity. To think that I care to impress you, or thinking to the fact that your opinion really matters is incredible and sad. But there is a sense of satisfaction out of your post, I am more happy to read that you won't be reading my posts anymore, someone as illwitted as yourself who can't read and retain what the topic of a simple paragraphed post probably should stick to Where's Waldo books anyhow. Have a good day...

I had a nice, long, well written post, debunking every single thing you said, and making you look worse then you do yourself, but instead I'll just have a moderator warn you for intentionally flaming another member. Bring it to PM's next time.
