How much is in this recoery drum and what refergent .

    r134a comes in a light blue tank with a single valve. This must be for home a/c, on cars we have a machine that has the scale, gauges, vacuum pump etc all self contained. The tank straps to the side.

    What I mean by that is , the little bit that comes out when you unhook a set of guages wont do any damage , but if you stick your head in a bag and breath only freon , thats what can hurt of kill you .

    Brand new r-134a is in a blue cyl. http://www.johnstonesupply.com/storefront/product-view.ep?pID=B92-373 The clean air act of 1993 makes it illegal to vent used refergent in to the air http://www.epa.gov/ it must be pumped in to a recovery drum . http://www.johnstonesupply.com/storefront/product-view.ep?pID=H93-168

    Haha, I know this.. I'm section 609 certified. All I deal with is new tanks. I work on enough cars that I recycle it.

    I am class 1 and 2 of sec. 608
    p.s. For thoes hear that dont know sec 609 is automotive . 608 goes something like class 1 is like small applainces , 2 home a/c s ect , 3 big stuff like chillers , 100s of pounds of ref.

    My post kind of got side railed on huffing , its sticking your head in a bag filled with freon , this can kill you . Watch some of the you tube videos I posted .

    only an idiot would huff used freon in the bag..

    get a new tank, and use balloons..:party:

    Freon in a running a/c system will have oil with it . Neither the oil or freon are good to inhale . A few guys usted to use a charging hose to inhale freon .

    Inhaling freon is not a good idea how ever you do ir.
