well as I was reading this thread, this thought came to mind. Most pizza delivery drivers use their own vehicles and their own gas. So, if the pizza place charges $3 for delivery, who actually gets the $3? The pizza place is not actually doing the delivery, unless of course they provide the vehicles, which i think most do not. So? If the drivers are not collecting the $3 for the use of their vehicle, then the pizza place is making one hell of a profit off of the delivery services and the pizza person is getting it in the ass with no vaseline. As for the question I usually tip $5 to the pizza guy but then again I have been known to tip the barista at Starbucks the same amount.
$5. i worked as a waitress forever so i'm tip-conscious. also, my parents always taught me to tip 15-20% for virtually everything, except maybe the bellhop at a hotel. or a take out cashier.
as much as my sensibilities would reject the idea, personal experience would say this is at least loosely true.
my favorite pizza place's delivery cut off is the road right before mine. they deliver to the apts across from me but not mine. see if i pity you.
The cutoff is on the same road I live on....they just won't pass the four way. :toetap05: I think they are scared of the things that reside near the swamp.
