How much clothing do you own?

    Just being curious ... ;)

Obviously since you are supposed to wear clothes in public in our society, you need to have some.

So how much do you own? Just like the average guy/gal or less (or more)?

And when you wear clothes, is it just the bare necessities (like short and top) or would you say you dress like everyone else?

Plus question for barefooters ... how many pairs of shoes do you own?

    Me:
I wouldn't consider myself a nudist but I only own three pieces of clothing: t-shirt, hoodie and jeans. And as an avid barefooter I didn't own any shoes in summer, now it's a pair of kinda flip flops just in case it gets freezing cold.

I always look up to people who live a real minimalistic lifestyle. Though I like the idea of minimalistic living, I have to admit that I own quite a bunch of clothing and footwear, mainly for business and social reasons, but I don’t feel bad making use of them.

I wonder if you don’t own shorts? I guess this would be more comfortable in summer.

And what do you do if you have to wash your clothes? Sit stark naked at the Laundromat? I use to change the body-near clothing every day, so I would at least need two or three sets.

For me this depends a lot of the situation. The business world is just another sphere than the private one. I can go to a festival with just a cloth round my hips and a little top, but this wouldn’t be ok in the office. When I go hiking in summer, I use to wear short running tights and a top. For working, I do wear at least skirt, blouse and leather flipflops.

i have no idea how much the average person owns, but i feel like i have a ton. mostly because i rarely throw away old clothes even when they're falling apart.

    same with shoes.

I've got a lot, not as much as some woman but still, I guess I do have a lot but my whole rack is full of concert and event shirts and I just get them for bragging rights I rarely wear anything. Got my 3 favorite flannies and my 2 fav pair of jeans ready to go at all times.

More than I need, and more than I have room for. I've never even worn a good chunk of the clothing and shoes I own. I have a uniform for work, so that's what I normally wear most of the time. And since getting sick, I really only wear sweatpants/pajama pants and a big tshirt.

I sometimes think that Jane spends half her spare time buying clothes and the other half taking them back to the shops for a refund. Great fun when she looses track of which shops she bought them from.

She buys a lot of items for me at the same time and I just have to hide anything that I want to keep. :yum::yum::yum:

Mostly my pants are pretty much ripped, so there is enough ventilation :)

I handwash my clothes. Underpants (I did not mention those cause I don't consider them "clothes") daily, t-shirt every other day mostly, jeans once per week and the hoodie sometimes ... depends how often I wore it. Hang them dry on the heater overnight. Works for me.

I understand that. I'm part time student and part time I work remotely from home, so no need for a business attire for me. :)

Nice. I wear my clothes to shreds before I replace anything. And when I get something it's second hand and mostly for free and pretty much worn out as well. :)

Slart are you still rocking those pants with no ass in them. They were basically threads being held together by hopes and dreams if I remember correctly. Are you still at uni?

I feel like I have a lot, but I realize that I actually have a lot less than most women.

Sometime I probably have a lot more close that a lot but then they wear out and I don't replace some for a while then I go on a shopping spree and it starts all over.

No, those jeans are long gone. Fell apart beyond repair, so I had to get new ones. Well, not new of course, used. They were pretty much worn out as I got them and now they are almost as ragged as the ones you know. :)

    Yes, still part time student.

Too much to know exactly. But I only have shirts in abundance. I make everything last.

You would be ashamed of the amount of hoodies I have. It's an addiction. I probably have around 45 hoodies and I just got rid of about 10 of them. Does one person need that many hoodies? Nope. It's hard for me to part with them. Most of them are band hoodies or from trips I've taken.

I feel like I remember a picture you posted a long time ago. Possibly post shower in a towel or something like that. I don't think any women are going to complain about you not having many clothes.
