how much attention do you get for your looks?

Tom Waits, one of the ugliest people ever to have been photographed, describes himself as having, "a masculine face."

That guy is a hero to me. I actually took up the accordion because of him.

 

Head turnin', cell phone pictures taken, center of attention, always. I think it's the way we dress and the energy we exude when we're out. Not as much attention in the bay though, everyone goes dummy.

 

Intelligence, money, power, sense of humour, even if you're ugly, but you still look 'manly', women will like that. Look at daniel craig, he isn't a conventionally good looking man, you could almost say he's ugly, but women love him, because he's masculine and a brute, and he walks with confidence. Some women are even attracted to bastards, rebels, etc.

Doesn't work like that for women though, not many guys would be interested in an ugly smart or funny chick. Women with confidence can come off as bitches, independently wealthy women intimidate men, or make them feel insecure, and when it comes to physical appearance, there's just not that much leeway from a mans perspective: you're either good looking, or you're not.

 

Yeah, quite a bit.
A lot more in Asia than in Europe, though.

It's why I cry myself to sleep every night.

 

I must have really good looking testicles, cos every time I'm out wearing shorts and my balls peek out of them I get lots of looks



On a more serious note, whether male or female, just sounds like a wank if they are complaining about getting too much attention for their looks. Some people have real problems
