How many stories are Bullshit?

Sometimes I read stuff, not only here but in many places where people say they did stuff (on the ten fold wild side) and you have to imagine lots of it is to gain friends or turn on the most you can, an attempt to be the most popular.
Now I am not saying it didn't happen or produce pics or it isn't true but how many lay the bullshit down just to falsely play on other peoples minds to gain popularity?
I remember lots of that in school and its old. To see adults do it is disappointing, it gives me the idea some people are scared to be themselves and be loved for who they really are.
I wouldn't put a poll here because it would be pointless. It's a question you can't ask, it's just a thought I have had for many years.

 

People are full of shit a lot. Depends on the person. Different people lie about different types of things

 

Never let the truth get in the way of a good story. =]

 

sensationalism, perhaps....idk...I see something like that and I stop reading....I only read through what feels true and real.

If you are on here for long enough and really read you will find those who are not who they say they are eventually trip up.

Having said that the opposite also applies in that over time you do tend to get a good feel on who tells it as it is.

 

I always hated that "one upper" person who you cant tell a story to without them giving a better one lol

 

I met a guy online who swore he was a victim of sexual abuse at the hands of Janet Reno and her "friends". The way he talked about certain things made it hard for me to disbelieve him.

I think people can be entertaining and some like to be pranksters or jokers. They play a game called "make believe" (make you believe it).

Life is super strange and weird. Ever been to a real "oddities and curiosities" carnival? For those who don't know what that is .. check out Barnum & Bailey's Circus

I went to a carnival like that. There was a woman who wasn't more than 2 feet tall. She sat there knitting and I .. just stared at her. I was trying to figure out if she was a trick .. like a remote control puppet or something .. or if she was real. The look of furious, simmering anger on her face when she looked me directly in the eye told me she was no puppet. To this very day, I remember her with deep compassion.

That's an example of a true story that some people would hiss & spit and call bullshit. I don't know who fooled them but it must've hurt. And they'd be wrong to say the 2 foot woman is bullshit. She really isn't.

It's the same old thing .. an unending fight over what's real and what isn't.

Do some people lie? Sure. But that doesn't mean that something like oddities and curiosities aren't real. They're just shocking or disturbing to the senses.

 

When I first joined here I read the entire "Craziest sex act you've done" or "Sluttiest sex acts" or whatever it was. Definitely some bullshitters in that thread. I will never, ever believe that a dude fucked a dog while another male dog fucked him. That's nuts. Also, as a married dude with a daughter.....I can tell you for sure that 99.999% of the "I had a threesome with a chick and her mom" are pure bullshit. And I'm also skeptical of any thread with some wild claim started by someone with one or two posts.

With that said……my telekinetic ability (TK) allows me to levitate objects of any size and move them through space in any direction. The larger the object the more force applied. If there are other forces acting upon the object additional force is required.

I can relate to this so much. After all this time I have become pretty skeptical, especially on the internet.

 

I wouldn't have to wear a bra if it wasn't for gravity.

 

We should have a forum titled "No Bullshit here, Nobuddy is gonna like you anyway", just to see how many can go in there to tell a total truth. Bet it's nearly empty in a month. Haha.
I have come to believe a few good people and even build a trust with them but some it's hard to read their stuff after a while unless you got tall rubber boots on.
Makes ya nuts when you wanna call them on it but you don't wanna be an asshole and ruin a whole thread.

 

Truth is, people hate the truth. They'd rather lie and be lied to. That's my experience anyway. But I'd love to see a total truth thread, ha.

 

I must not be a very suspicious person because 99% of the time I assume people are telling the truth. Obviously on forums there are always trolls who make up stories out of boredom but with regular posters and in real life I never suspect people of lying.
