Do you read often? Do you enjoy coming strips, or a deep novel? I try to read as much as i can because once i find something i do enjoy it. It is very hard though to keep me on the book.

I am fan of old Stephen King; The Stand, Salems lots, The Tommyknockers, insomnia. Other books, The Lord of the Rings, Chronicles of Narnia, Contact, Catch 22, Old Brian Jaques, John Grisham, Calvin n Hobbes, Garfield, The Far Side Side and other random writers.

I love books... been reading like mad since I was a kid...

I do most of my reading online now, but when it comes to novels, they have to be paperbacks... usually the longer the better... series being the best... jordan, anthony, asimov, heinlein... those are my favorite...

    Can't stand stephen king...

i usually read the same much loved books over and over and over again, the way normal people watch a favorite movie.

    my favorite series are:
Earth's Children, Jean Auel (Clan of the Cave Bear, Valley of Horses, Mammoth Hunters, Plains of Passage, Shelters of Stone, and The Land of Painted Caves-out in March! Squee!)

Kushiel's Legacy, Jacqueline Carey (Kushiel's Dart, Kushiel's Chosen, Kushiel's Avatar, Kushiels Scion, Kushiel's Mercy, Kushiel's Justice)

Sword of Truth, Terry Goodkind (im too lazy to type them out, Wizards First Rule is the first, the tv series i could not watch, some deviation from story is ok, but they changed significant plot lines and situation setups)

Harry Potter. dont make fun of me :)

Chronicles of Narnia is classic, i never read past Lion Witch and the Wardrobe until i was all grown up. i do like Stephen King, havent read any newer stuff though. Read insomnia, The Stand, Bachman Books is my favorite, between Rage and The Long Walk, what a fabulous book!
The Mists of Avalon is really good, and ive read several other books from her Avalon series

i never could get into the Lord of the Rings, or Robinson Crusoe. it just doesnt flow comfortably in my head, but i might give them another shot when i have a chance.

I liked a lot of things we "had to read" for school, like Number the Stars, The Scarlet Letter, Night, The Great Gatsby, Slake's Limbo. Hatchet, and The Winter Room. Harriet the Spy. Island of the Blue Dolphins. lots of good reading material.
i have a book called Notes on the Hauter Experiment that i thoroughly enjoyed reading, even rereading as an adult.
Vector (Dr Robin Cook) was really good too. and one called Hellfire (John Saul) i could remember the plot, but not the title, had to ask my mom, and she couldnt remember either. I love to read. I like reference books too, homesteading, cookbooks, even medical references, but those are technically still my mom's. Books are awesome-sauce.

Put me down. Only problem is, when i'm an active reader i'm rarely an active stoner, and vice versa.

earth's children is an amazing series...

The seeker series too (terry goodkind), although like always, they totally destroyed it by making it into a tv series...

I love books, everything about them; the look, the feel, old smell, new smell, etc.

I collect really old books of poetry, some of which are around 150 years old. I read them. I read a lot of poetry, philosophy, some religious stuff. I do enjoy fiction but I think I like non-fiction better. Biographies are always interesting. I read Hemmingway's and Tim Leary's recently.

I do enjoy classic fiction though like D.H. Lawrence, Poe, Dickens, Hardy, etc.

I have my moments where I'll get into something. I'm really picky about books, though, so my tastes are kind of hard to please. There are very few classics on the list of books I've read and didn't want to kill myself over. Not to say I hated everything on the required reading list at school, just a large percentage. I really really love biographies and memoirs, though. I find other people so interesting, I'll even read about someone I've never even heard of if the book looks promising enough. I also enjoy books that take place in hospitals or mental institutions and horribly tragic books. I'm a little bit twisted and my reading choices reflect that.

Ive been getting into spiritual and self-help books lately.

The last I've actually purchased were some of Kerouac, Whitman, and Ginsberg for the Beats class I took. Aside from that, I really enjoy young adult fiction.

I need to make more time for reading though.

i love books. I'll read pretty much anything. I bought War and Peace like 4 years ago with the intention of reading it and it hasn't appealed to me enough to start until tonight, i just pulled it off my bookshelf actually..I feel like i'm about to embark on a journey. I buy books all the time even if I'm not interested in reading them immediately because I have a certain list of books in my head that I feel I should read at some point in my life. I have a huge collection of books just sitting around my house waiting to be read.

have you ever read any Augusten Burroughs? Hes a memoirist..is that a word? If you like reading about sick and twisted people, you would like him!

same. but then again i cant really say what my tastes are cuz it varies, i like books from certain genre that i generally dislike greatly. although ive never met a biography that ive liked, and fiction it my forte. id rather not list a bunch of books, but ill say that my favorite book is Lolita (not a pedo, just an interesting story). and i collect marvel comic books from the dark age of comics. i also collect dilbert and calvin and hobbes collection books
