that's not big. but it should be sufficient and comfortable. it's not miserably tiny.

i'm assuming he's a single guy with not a lot of stuff. the upstairs of the house we're buying is about 900 sq ft, but if he doesn't have a lotta walls in his apartment and not a lotta stuff, it should be okay. i think my first one bedroom kitchenette was about 850 sq. ft. it was me and my ex. perfectly sufficient space.

That’s a good size if you don’t have a lot of stuff. I live in 900 sf with my GF it's ok but we don’t have a lot of stuff and we don’t have room for any stuff.

But who needs stuff.. it funnier to play outside.

that's good to know. I'm looking at studios with my lady and we don't really have much money so our options are limited.

really? apparently dwellings are smaller here...

my apartment is only 600 ft... and i have plenty of room here (there is an attic, but it's not that big)

900 ft is the size of the 2-bedrooms in my complex...

my old apartment was the about same size as this one, as are most of my friends' one bedroom apartments, and most of the ones i saw when i was looking for this place...

we're in a house that's about 900 sq. ft., and we're totally cramped. but that's two adults and two children. but STILL, it's livable. we just sit out on the porches quite a lot. personally, i think that's a good thing.

we're buying a house that 2700 sq ft, and that doesn't include the three car garage. we're sick of being in each other's laps.

The average 2 bedroom I've stayed in is 1200 sq/ft. I've lived in a one bedroom house that was about 700 sq/ft and was comfortable with the exception of closet space.

Anything around 1000 sq/ft is usually a comfortable fit for anybody without kids and massive accessories like iron boards and exercise equipment etc.

890 square feet is a huge 1 bedroom no matter what anyone says.. a standard fha/va approved low income house is 3/2 in 900 square feet..

Well the place I am building is 22x44 roughly 968sqft The main bedroom is 14x12, the second bedroom is 12x12, the living room is 14x22, the utility room is 6x6, the bathroom is 8x10, the kitchen is 14x16. So I agree with HHB a 1 bedroom that size is huge.

That's great for one person! My one-bedroom condo when I lived alone was 800 and it was more than enough space.
We live in a 1,400 square foot place now and it's just me and my husband. It's the perfect size for two people
