How many people can write and read music such as sheet music just wanted to know because i am learning and im doing well later josh
i'm a little limited in reading and writing, but i get a little bit of it. i have the nirvana book. i haven't played in a while
Being able to read music, in my opinion, just is not all that important. I think people like Hendrix and Buddy Rich are a testament to that. I can read music, but definitely not fluently. I haven't taken much time and effort into learning how, either. However, I do write music, though I use my own methods of doing to. I don't follow the traditional scales or anything like that.
I can't read or write sheet music but everyone of my friends who plays an instrument knows how to do both. However you have to remember that most of my friends had very expensive leasons. I know a classical guitarist that thought himself how to play classical guitar(even reading and writting sheet music) and he's the only modest musician I know.
i can read sheet music easier than i can read words....as for writing it....i can but do i? not so much
Wow, I can't even IMAGINE not being able to read music...I read music more easily than words, probably.
i can write and read for treble and bass clef. and if i work at it i can get some notes out on alto and tenor clef
