If this thread already exists, please, just ignore. I've looked for one like this and didn't find.

I've been to a little over 80 countries.

Zero, unless you count the one in which I was born.

Why not? If you have traveled in your country, then you have visited it! :)

I find this hard to count. In some countries I have only been in one corner and other countries I mainly just drove through to other countries. I don't really care to keep track on how many countries I exactly visited because of that. But yeah, I'm from western Europe so when you go on a roadtrip over the border (especially south east) you automatically visit a lot of other countries :D
I would say I have visited Istanbul, but not Turkey since I have not been anywhere else in Turkey.

  8. Probably between 30 and 50. I lost count a long time ago.
80 is insane though, did you actually visit them or just passing through to get the stamp in your passport or as a stopover in a flight?

A lot of the countries I been to I really been to, as in spending at least a month there.

I've only visited a small handful, including the U.K., Canada, Sweden, and Jamaica.

I don't count the countries where I had only a stopover or drive through, unless that's all I'll ever wanna do in the country. For instance, if I go to Dubai, I won't wanna spend more than a day there, anyway. I do count countries where I've slept a few nights.

But my vacations are short. So, in many, I've spent only one, or two weeks. I do go back, though. There are several of these countries I've visited more than once.

Some of the places don't interest me per se, so I just go to have some contact with the people.

I don't travel to count countries. I prefer to go again to a place I've enjoyed, than to go to a place only to add it to my list, of course.

I've been to Canada quite a bit. My dad was born there and I still have some family up there as well. But that's it. Canada and the U.S. are the only countries I've been in.

I want to go to other countries, and I probably could fairly easily, but I'm to busy to put my life on hold to go on a vacation.

I've been to almost every state in the continental US, though.

  16. Three. Canada, Peru, and Germany.
I barely remember Canada, since I was so young when I went there.

Eastern, central, western Europe. UK. Most parts of Australia. Tokyo, Hokkaido, Hong Kong, and other asian countries.

  20. Only one :(

One of my goals in life is to get to at least one other country before I die, but really I'd love to go to all of them. If only travel didn't cost so much.
