yeah coming from a small hunting community I agree that without hunting there would be a huge problem with animal over population, besides hunters love there guns, they're not going to give them up without a fight
Never. What the fuck kind of world would that be? We'd all be defenseless against the governments, it'd be total police state. If it ever happens, it'll be a sad day for humanity, and I doubt it would last long (nor would it ever be complete, what with the black market and all)
And who's gonna stop the government from having guns, when they are the ones who implement the gun ban? until the populace is dearmed the cops and military won't get rid of their weapons, and what's to stop them once we the people are defenseless? Oh, what, are we gonna vote them out of office? Who's gonna make them leave, if they're the ones with all the guns?

Guns will still be available when the revolution comes. As long as the government forces have guns, the revolutionary forces have access to guns.
It may happen, but it'll never be global. Some people really do have a need for weapons. It's just the standard problem. One is too scared of what the other will do if they start disarming.
