I've stopped doing pretty much all drugs so I haven't been around these parts of the forum in a while, I'm just taking my prescriptions and occasionally drinking.

I thought you guys could help me out, though, people are knowledgeable around here. I broke my toe not last Friday but the Friday before and I won't go into details but I ended up getting 22 5/500's of Vicodin at the ER, last Wednesday I ran out and docs gave me 40 more 5/325's. Yesterday they called in a script for an additional 40 5/325's and I have a bunch of those.

My toe legitimately does hurt and I've been taking within the allotted amount (they said up to 12 pills per day). Basically though I've been taking them for coming on two weeks, usually taking like 40-55mg per day now (started at like 25-35mg per day but that stopped working as well)

Should I be worried about physical dependence at this point?

No, you wouldn't be addicted at this point. But it looks like you're taking 5-6k mg's of acetominophen per day, and that's bad, even short term. You shouldn't take more than 4k mg's per day. Your doctor should know that, too. They should have put you on 10/325's.

Edit: Sorry, I misread the part about the 5/325's. 12 if those contain 3900mg of acetominophen, which is still pretty close to the recommended limit, though. I don't know why they didn't put you on the 10's, or at least 7.5's.
