I have a kitten who is 5 months, a neutered male he was neutered quite young. He was one of 4 of another of my cats litters and she was neutered when he was approx 1 month old.

He's still latching on relatively regularly and because he's nearly as big as his momma who is a small cat it's starting to look odd. When do they usually start rejecting them? Her nipples end up all squished looking and there doesn't seem to be any milk in there. Do they carry on using it like a pacifier/dummy or is he still getting something?

I wondered if she lets him because we gave the others away and so she wants to baby him. He eats plenty so it's not hunger.

I have three cats, Kilobyte Dirtbag and Cornwallace. irrelevent but I thought i'd share.

you might want to put them in seperate rooms for a while, with a smallbowl of milk in the room of the "latching cat". i think if you keep them seperated for 5-8 days the cat,'ll get over it.
