My *ahem* aunt. Found some LSD in her attic from the 1960s. Well she gave it to me and I'm wondering if it is ok. It's in a 5 gram vile with a rubber stopper. She told me she used to put it on sugar cubes.
If protected from light, oxygen, and high temps, LSD will remain active indefinitely. Only way to know is to try it. It certainly would not degrade into something harmful, so you don't need to worry about that.
Great !! I'll be getting my 8 track out of the repair shop tomorrow. So I'll do another time trip. I have Beau Dommage on 8 track and Jefferson Airplane
My husband and I can confirm from direct experience (10/31/2009) that doses stored properly for exactly 25 years work just fine with no degradation in quality and slight degradation in potency. Happy trails!
Is it stored ok if it is stored: -In room temperature -Wrapped in aluminium film -Sealed in 2 plastic bags -In complete darkness ?
That's a good start, especially if you squeeze all of the air out of the bags and/or place an oxygen absorber packet in there - separate from and not touching the doses. Maybe throw it in the back of the 'fridge to get some extra years. Ours was stored wrapped tightly in plastic, placed into an old fashioned 35mm film can and it alternated placement between various 'fridges and freezers for close to 20 years. The first 5 or so years, the doses rode around in my husband's wallet - not proper storage at all. And yet, they worked fine on Halloween last year. Main thing is to avoid direct light, avoid exposure to chlorine, including chlorinated water and avoid exposure to oxygen.
