How long before I should get a new filter?

For my pipe?

It looks pretty dirty, but I haven't been able to trouble myself and get a pack of filters from the hardware store yet.

Also, when should I scrape out the pipe?

 

why the fuck do you have a filter in your pipe?

 

i think he means a screen.

screens last a long long long time(my girlfriend hasnt changed her pipe's in like a year) if you start tasting something other then bud when you smoke then its time to change it...never use copper or bronze though, go for the steel.

as for scraping your pipe? either when its so clogged with resin that you cant hit it or just a rainy day when you have no bud...scrape it and smoke up that resin!

 

Hey, thanks! Yeah, I meant screen. Forgot what the damn thing was called for a while, there. Might have been high when I wrote it.

I think when I bought my pipe, the guy put a copper screen in.. so maybe I should do something. I know that copper changes into something else when heated to extreme temperatures, might be dangerous? In fact, I just did that the other day in chem class.

that always makes your day so much better when you don't have any bud sitting around then you think to scrape out your pipe and you have some nice resin.

 

i change mine when i wear a hole in the screen (about twice a month) from scraping it. and use brass, not stainless imo it tastes better.

 

go to a headhsop and buy the screens there thats what there made for

 

No headshops nearby. Gotta go into gang territory for that.

And.. I wouldn't even call the place a headshop. It's where I bought the pipe and they sell copper colored screens.

 

clean the resin out whenever the suction gets bad.
