How important is being barefoot in nudism and naturism?

Me I just don't like having to wear shoes unless like in a real dirty place or something. I can't feel the ground. Clothes I'm okay with.

I guess maybe given the choice naked but shoes on or barefoot and shorts and shirt ?

 

I'm always nude and barefoot. I enjoy nude barefoot hikes in the woods or just walking in my backyard. To me nude is barefoot also.

 

I concur with previous posters. If I am naked then I'me barefoot. But then I am barefoot almost 24/7 so if i get naked why would I wear shoes!

 

I agree, when i'm naked i like to be totally naked - no shoes or anything on my feet.

 

I naked quite routinely though sometimes wearing shoes. I feel more naked when also barefoot. I feel more horny then too

 

I prefer being barefoot but I don’t mind shoes only in some situations or slippers/ socks if the floor is cold. The rest of the clothes stay off as often as possible though.

 

I've heard someone say "It's through our feet that we contact the earth most of the time". It sounds like a good concept, but if you want to be a barefooter you have to be consistent about it. Once you're out of practice, it's difficult to be comfortable, and you're likely to get hurt. Naturists typically do wear shoes, and hats too, without feeling that they're giving up on naturist principles. But it depends on the circumstances; I go barefoot when the surface is friendly to my shoe-habituated feet and when it's warm enough, but most of the time outdoors I do use footwear. I wear sandals a lot, and it was amusing to read George Orwell denouncing people he called "Nudists, vegetarians and sandal-wearers"! I almost qualify, but I'm not a vegetarian.

 

To me, I'm not naked if I'm wearing anything but a smile. Shoes included.

EXTREMELY important!! If you’re gonna be naked, why would you wear something on your feet?!?!

 

I think being barefoot is complimentary to nudism. I'm barefoot as much as I can just like I'm nude as much as possible.

 

I don't actually feel nude unless I'm barefoot.

Barefoot as much as I can, but come this time of the year in the house I easily have cold feet. Slippers or sport socks.so the trick, but hey, when unexpected guests gasp and claim I'm naked, well, I say I'm not!

 

I’m always barefoot all year around and I’m naked all year around except when I have to go out or I have company I wear clothes and my company always take their shoes of and some go barefoot.

 

I don't share this barefoot obsesion many people have. I heavily dislike having my feet dirty, yet I won't ever allow someone to ditch me out as a non-nudist- I've been naked most of my life. I'm always naked at home, I'm always naked if I'm allowed to be naked, I only put on clothing for work and whatever situation I have to, yet I heavily dislike being barefoot, I only do it so on grass or sand.

It hurts and I'm also an hygiene freak. Being barefoot for me at home would me washing my feet once per hour which would damage my skin seriously.

 

Looks like i should try to invent some invisible shoes

 

I go on a lot of naked bike rides and I actually got a set of exercise bike pedals so I could do this completely naked without shoes.

Definitely recommended if you like nude cycling.

 

I’m neither for nor against dirty feet, but when I’m naked in public, I want to be completely naked from head to toe, hence the special bike pedals.

 

I have really sensitive/tender feet. So I where sandals outside most of the time. I still totally naked. Maybe not by others measure, but for me it works.
