Well, that's cool that you have the option of painting right on the wall. It can be fun to cover a large part of a wall with paper, keep some pastels or crayons around, and let your friends just kind of add to it when they feel like it. I've never had bad results that way. Now I do it with my kids.

a wall covered in graffiti could be pretty overpowering so you might want to keep the other walls low key. its hard to say without knowing you and your style though.

get a bunch of records and cover the entire wall like wallpaper. I did that on one of the walls in my room. It looks so trippy! Psychedelic posters would look neat. I don't have that many with psychedelic colours, but it still looks great.

A friend of mine got a whole bunch of movie posters for free, so when he ran out of wall, he put them on the ceiling! :D It was cool, but just a little bit creepy.....all those people looking at you.....

-put a border of wallpaper with glo in the dark stars around the top of the walls.. maybe do the whole ceiling??

    - some cool tapestries

    - maybe modge podge straight on the wall?? i dont know if that would work or if im even allowed to, but it would look really cool!

i use poster board and cut out shapes, like stars (my favorite) then i paint them all different colors and tape them up around the top of my wall. i dont like the glow in the dark ones becuase i need complete darkness to sleep, so i do this and plus these are brighter.

I have a wicker table, loads of incense, candles, ornaments of buddhas, dragons, witches, turtles, lava lamps, dreamcatchers, posters, drawings, and loads of tapestries and stuff draping from the roof which gives the roof such a crazy look....

Also I got a bean bag, a patchwork quilt draped over a chair, and on my bed....
And some guitars, a bongo drum and loads of books.

empty out every ounce of furniture and cover your floor with a thick layer of sand. Very Zen.

You can recycle old cd's and either glue them together in pairs, shiny side out, and hang them as a mural, or hang them on your walls. I have mine in an arch around my bed.

If you get magazines, you can go through magazines cutting out words and put them on a poster. I have two like that, one that describes me and is a full posterboard size and a smaller one my best friend made about our friendship. It's unique and colorful and also holds meaning to you.

My room is kind of crazy.... I covered my door with one of those emergency blanket things that are made of tin foil (very shiny) and have butterflies hanging EVERYWHERE. My room is made up of colors.
