how horrible the mental toll on rescuers,,..

last night 2 new orleans police officers commited suicide,, the mayor has ordered psychological evaluations on all personell before being rotated back into the city..

its just tragic.. luv n lite be with them..

 

it happens in all the rescue services from time to time..... firefighters, paramedics.. sometimes people see horror that they just cant handle...

 

may they rest in peace.

 

aw, poor guys. sometimes shit's just too crazy and ugly. this isn't just something we're prepared to see.

anyway, back to topic, the police of NO are not responding quite as well as the NYPD, but it IS a different situation. NYC was ATTACKED. it's easier to stand against a human enemy, so much harder to be strong in the face of chaos and human hysteria:
