How does Rising sign affect romance?

I'm a Sagittarius currently dating a Cancer.

I read how those two signs aren't the best match, but aren't the worst either. But we (so far) get along really well.

Then I realized that I am a Cancer rising! Not sure what his rising sign is.

So how does the rising sign of one matching the sun sign of another affect things?

 

yeah, I think any connection in a couple's chart affects things, but only if it is in aspect, in my opinion.

I'd have to look at both charts to give a definitive answer.

but others may have a different idea

for a relationship you'd be interested in mars, venus and the moon as well as 7th house well I could go on really.......
it's fascinating stuff !

 

im in love with a leo and pisces and leo have nothing in common but hes on the leo/cancer cusp so yeah rising sign does make a difference

 

I have Aries on the asc and always initiate my love affairs

so i think the rising sign is quite significant....

my sun is in the private sign of Scorpio, but my mars ruled asc always comes forward...with avengance! It finds it hard to WAIT!

Rising sign means everything.

In traditional astrology, the Sun sign doesn't mean much on its own. The Sun sign usually only comes into play when you need to look at the Sun for a specific question. Many questions in traditional astrology don't even look at the Sun or Sun sign.

Thats really funny, I"m a cancer dating a sagittarius and I'd have to say that its the best relationship I've ever had. I do believe in astrology, but I dont think that it prevents you from dating certain people, we may not be considered the best matched, but thats according to our personalities and the way we deal with things. However, like all relationships there are levels of comprimise and as long as your honest, communicate well, and of course love eachother and have a deep connection, then there should be no worries. I have found that my significant other deals with things in a very logical way, when I deal with things with a little more emotion, but he understands the way I work and we have learned to work together.

Rising sign is sooooooo important. It can change everything. I think my Sag rising conjunct uranus explains tons about me. It affects who I am attracted to and also how I related to people like I am a realy open person with a lot of people...and need freedom. Yeah Cancer rising definitely explains the attraction! You reinforce each others' self.

its also known as the ascendant. it can mean the mask you put forward to the world....how you are seen, how you are perceived...
