It's storming right now outside my bedroom window, lightning flashes, and even the occasional flickering of lights. I like it, and at the same time, it makes me afraid. Afraid of the uncertainty of nature, yet respectful of it. I like that I'm not traveling out in it right now, however. The sound of it is nice. How does rain make you feel?
It makes me happy. I like it when I'm in a restaurant and it starts raining out and it gets all cozy inside. Sometimes I don't like it to rain, though. I suppose I just like it when it's gray skies and everything gets quiet.
Me, too. Describes how I feel about it. The sun is nice, but a cloudy sky with a little rain feels peaceful, Idk how to explain it.
In all seriousness though, I like the rain. It does sap my ambition though. I don't like to run errands or go to work on a rainy day. I'd rather enjoy it--splash around like a kid again, run through puddles barefoot, watch a storm from a back porch. There is almost something innocent about the rain. Untill it causes mudlsides that sometimes destroy whole neighborhoods. Then, it's humbling.
For me, the gods often wander with us mortals during rain and stormy weather. Where I live and what I've grown up with, rain is life. Irm is happy when it rains. Except when it rains for like 4 days straight and then I start to get the shits.
Yesss, agree. If I have to drive to work in it, blah, that's the worst because it backs up traffic for miles. Hard to enjoy anything in traffic. Sadly true. I remember in V for Vendetta when she says ''God is in the rain.'' One of my favorite parts of that movie.
I find rain very soothing. It makes me happy in a sort of melancholy way, if that makes sense. Sometimes I like the feeling of being sad, and rainy days give me room to feel that way. One of my favorite things in the world to do is grab a hot beverage and go for a long walk on a gloomy, dreary day when its lightly drizzling
Same, but I would worry it would start pouring in the middle of my beautiful stroll, and ruin my cup of espresso. lol Who knew you could say so much in one word?
chrysalism. n. the amniotic tranquility of being indoors during a thunderstorm, listening to waves of rain pattering against the roof like an argument upstairs, whose muffled words are unintelligible but whose crackling release of built-up tension you understand perfectly.
When it rains I feel invigorated, and when it’s accompanied by thunder & lightning I’m in meteorological bliss - I enjoy and yet respect the power of nature.
I Love It......Always Lived In A House With A Steel Roof......And Here In My New Place I Have What I Have Always Wanted......A Wrap Around Veranda So I Can Sit Outside And Not Only Hear The Rain......But See It Too..... Cheers Glen.
Its good when you're indoors and its warm enough to have the windows open. Then its refreshing. But when you are out in it for about 45 mins trying to get home or if you find yourself lost in a tropical rainforest and everything turns muddy and slippery then its not so fun. More frustrating.
depends on the situation there are too many types of rain freezing rain in february isnt the same as hot ozone rain on a hazy summer day
depends on the time of year, the temperature, how much i have to be out in it, but generally i like it a lot, though i like snow even better (with much the same caveats) i like it when it cools down a too hot summer day, i like it when it washes the dust away. i like it when the earth turns green, i like when i'm feeling mean, i like it when its dry inside, and i don't have to run and hide.
