Stop taking the red pills.......or, you could get some software designed to monitor your uploads and downloads. .
well, ppl must have boring lives if they want to watch me type on hippie forums all day and look up random political info.
Because there isn't anything I do that is worth watching. And even if I were being watched I wouldn't care anyways.
My webcam is attached to the monitor of my laptop. A little light turns on to let me know. Point your webcam to a picture of some guy mooning just in case.
Im not interesting enough, just a informative representative of counter terrorism, well minds dont cause problems.. bill clinton said the internet in the most influential tool to positively change one mind..
well if they really dont have anything else to do let em watch! My wife is one foxy lady so i am use to people stopping and looking us over!!
If you are online you are most certainly being watched by someone, no matter who you are. The question is, are you being passively or actively watched, externally or internally, and who is watching and why.
Binary Shadow makes an excellent point, and not one thats really contemplated. Number one candait for watching you, is the government. And they can do it easier then anyone else. Hackers. Different story. The average "hacker", cant hack his way out of a wet paper bag, and will have no idea how to remotly start a webcam. Most times, what happens, is you do the work for them. Fraud plays on your worst qualitys as a human being. Trust, Instinct, and the need to click on anything that looks cool, Because so many people still dont understand internet security, its not hard to trick someone into going different places, and clicking on the things you need them to, in order to access information. Best Advice, Don't click or visit anymore your unsure of. Use a firewall, and pay close attention to the alerts you receive. If your being asked to submit data, sit and think for a second, to where your sending it to, what its being used for, and if it is stored, where and how long. and if your really paranoid, just get setup with TOR.
mmm, Yes TOR. TOR stands for The Onion Router. I wont go too into detail. But TOR represents a system of computers, that route your connection multiple times to obscure your data, location, and the source or destination of your information. Its useful for accessing or transferring information you want to keep private, or for bypassing oppressive government censors/
i have a pretty wife so i am use to getting looked at,there are many pc programs to spy, hack or do other bad things to people, but i dont do anything illegal so i dont worry about being watched by some gov agency
its not often thought this way, but the primary theft of information is not forceibly removed, hacked or stolen. You GIVE it to the person, without realizing it. A process commonly referred to as "Social Engineering". Using this, it is possible to get ALOT of information, by simply knowing how to talk to your target. As long as the person trusts in what your saying, you can continue to slowly move along, and request varying levels of information. BEST defense against this. A) If something looks fishy. It is. Ask questions. If the person is real, and the information they are asking for is an authentic request (Bank, Credit card company), They wont be annoyed, and will display there clearance without issue. Someone using Social Engineering usually wont persist if questioned too much. B) If you know your being manipulated. The best defense is to stop talking, stop sending information. Attempting to play the game back, or send false information will get you into trouble. Your always being watched, by one person or another. But actual invasions of privacy, will be very personal, and up close, By people who will gain your trust, and watch you with your permission.
