How do you classify categories of herb?

Just wondering how you guys categorize your cannabis. I've heard so many different terms and different ways people classify their herb. Just thought it would be cool to hear how some of you do it. I'm aware all cannabis falls into two caregories.. Indica/Sativa, but what i'm getting at here is more about the different kinds of quality.

My categorizing system is as follows (from top to bottom):

1. Headies/Dank
(Nugs, chronic, kush..all that good stuff)
- Basically I use 2 sub-levels within this category, with Nugs and beasters being towards the lower end. Exotics like chronic, kush, or just super dank stuff at/near the high end.

2. Mids
- Usually I find some seeds in it but it still has that nice greenish color to it. Though you can tell it doesn't smell or look as nice as the headies. Seems like it's tougher to break.

3. Regs/Schwag
(Brick weed!..ahh!)
- Basically all the herb that has tons of seeds in it and it has a green/brownish color to it..doesn't really smell that strong either. Hard as hell to break up! (Hence the name..brick weed lol). I would never pay for nor want this stuff..

basically i just like to use headies, mids, or schwag..

I refer to schwag as "reggie" or "brown frown".

But fuck all that shit anyway.....I'll smoke any of it, as long as the price matches the quality.

 

And I HATE it when people refer to weed as "dro" or "kush" just because it's high-quality. "Dro" refers to the method of cultivation and "kush(OP)" is a wide variety of specific strains. Get it right, fucktards.

 

same 3 categories as you, cory. but i would say that there is a broad spectrum for headies and mids. for instance i can get "blue cheese" or "biesel" which are some of the best strains i have ever smoked for $60 an 1/8th. i can get what my other dude calls "headies" but are actually closer to beasters for $45. this stuff is better than beasters though, and of course there is stuff in between in quality. a lot of the time it depends on how it was trimmed (a lot of stuff seems to be very poorly trimmed and probably not cured the best).

with mids, there could be only a couple seeds, bright green, or it could be a bit browner with more seeds and stems, starting to border on being schwag. but where is that line drawn. a dealer will almost always have 'mids' instead of 'schwag'
so to me, schwag is the worst of the worst, and headies would be the $60 stuff i get or anything comparable in quality. "headies" should actually only be used to refer to the actual cola buds of the plant, as i think that's what heady actually means - those buds tend to be more resinous.
then there's mids that might as well be schwag, then good mids, then beaster (the schwag of nugs), then it pretty much goes by appearance/smell/taste/high

the people in my neighborhood call "dro" between regs and kush. its really weird to explain. dro, to me atleast, is supposed to mean hydroponically grown, so i'm really not sure where they've gotten this explanation, but i've sort of adhered to the word to represent weed that looks fairly green, and is usually more hairy than crystally...hmm. indica vs sativa perhaps?

but sometimes, we get some really nice, green, crystalled kush... and other times we get shit that is just so lime-green and dank, ridiculously sticky, we can't believe it. we get greedy with smells and shit, especially then.

reggies is usually pretty flame, some nice orange hairs... most definitely not more brown than green, and NEVER brick weed.
shwag is just that. brown, and flat. seedy.

^^kush is an actual strain, so i doubt that all the good weed you get is a strain of kush.

I too have beasters before which some guy referred to as headies.. they were great for the price tho!

But yeah, mids seem to have a wide range to em'. I have bought what were claimed to be "mids" by this guy..but were actually straight up schwag..then other times I've came across mids that were awesome!

But overall, I definitely agree with you in there being a broad spectrum between headies and mids. Though today my cousin was trying to tell me that kush is better then "headies".when i simply classify it in the same category (it is a strain). Just shows how many different ways people categorize their herb..

That irritates the shit out of me. I've started smoking pretty regularly with this chick, and she's cool! But she always saying "Hey dude, I got some dro!"


I don't care what its called, I'm not an elitist...I just know good weed from crappy weed. I'm an equal oppurtunity smoker...as long as its green, I'm good.

 

Regular / dirt / brown frown
Mids / a rip off / glorified reg
Nugs / buds / fire

The reg is more in my price range, and I aint ashamed. I don't break "good bud" down into a million different categories - good stuff is good stuff no matter what it's called.

mids....ranges from shwag to fire shit. 15-25 per 1/8th. i refuse to pay more than 20 though

dank...ranges from bsters to dank/chronic to kind bud/super funky shit. 40-60 per 1/8th. i refuse to pay more than 50 though
