How do relationships work out...

    ...when the two have nothing in common? This has always interested me. What is the relationship based upon if no common ground is shared?

    I've always been told that opposites attract but in my experiences, I disagree.
    If your girlfriend/boyfriend is pretty open minded and wants to know more about you, then of course, thats common ground in itself, but I guess its just complicated. At first, I think its all lust and sexual tension. Then, when or if that fades away a bit, then there's not much left if you have absolutly nothing in common and one can't relate to the other.

    My girlfriend and I are in love but we both drive each other batshit. Alright, that's not entirely true. There are things about me that she can't stand and there are things about her that I can't stand. We wouldn't leave each other though because we enjoy each others company and can talk about anything with one another. PLUS there is that factor of wanting to know more about a person, as mentioned above.
