how do I know if weed is Sativa?

I heard this type of weed is good for depression and anxiety.

 

you kinda have to guess if its from the street.. /only way to really know is if you was growing it, or got it from a dispensary:someone that knew what it was..
When buying commercial weed, its not like you can order it.. So this week you buy a 20bag nice mellow buzz, next week the high got your ears buzzing and you feel like you want to dance al night..

Sativa is a mind high- lacking the couch lock that indica possesses.
Strains that are cross breed can hit you differently.. But pure strains of either, will be one the other..

really flying, want to play and have fun high= sativa
laid back, cant move just plain stoned = indica

 

well is their a way physically to tell if its sativa? I need it for depression and anxiety to be honest.

 

bright greens are usually Sativa,.. where it has a lime green, as opposed to army tank green, the darker i would assume is sliding on the indica end..

 

some sativa is real stringy looking like grass clippings rather than tight compact buds.

 

Indica nugs are usually denser, whereas sativa nugs can be really fluffy.

Indica also tends to smell more on the skunky side, whereas Sativa usually has a sweeter, fruitier smell. Of course with the hybrids going around you can end up seeing this information shot to shit.

The criteria I use to guess whether weed is Indica or Sativa is as follows:

Bud form: Fluffy= Sativa, Dense=Indica
Leaf Structure: Long and narrow= Sativa, Short and fat = Indica (for when you get bud with a leaf or two in there)
Colour: Lighter greens are Sativa, darker greens are Indica
Hairs: I've noticed that bud with less hairs tends to lean more towards the Sativa side
Smell: As I stated above. Use this in conjunction with the other criteria

For example:
If I got a bag full of fluffy, light green nugs, that had a sweet smell and a few narrow leaves in it, I would think it Sativa and then smoke it to find out.

 

I got weed that smells very fruit loopish would that make it Sativa?

yeah dude more than likely, in my experience that fruity weed has the sativa high.

 

I been FINALLY been getting sativa weed!! I love the high! Gets me giggling like a girl and knock my ass out for bedtime .



Whats more great is the fact that my Dealer was serving me some very dark weed aka indica and then out of the blue he wips out another jar of weed with sum super light green weed and am like "shit give me that!" Well I smoked it and I been laugh my ass off! I been depress and a bit on anxiety so the sativa has been doing what it subscripted for!!

 

Yea man, I prefer sativa over indica more often than not. Body high's and couchlock are fun and stuff but I like the thought processes I get with a 90% sativa like sour diesel.
