How do i know if a van is just the water company or if it's someone tracking me?

Yeah, that's it.

There's a van with the water company logo and one with the cable company logo and they both alternately come in the middle of the night and just sit with the cab empty and the lights off in my apartment complex.

Like a couple feet from my apartment.

Tehy are there all night so i know there isn't work being done, and i never see anyone get in or out of them, and i don't think anyone in my complex works for either company.

could they be listening in on my anti-state rants?!?!

How can i tell?

 

ask your neighbours if they've noticed them and ask around
then walk right up and knock on the window and ask...

 

My neighbors would think that i'm crazy (who notices a utility truck in the middle of the night?) and whoever would be in the van might just lie, neither would really answer...

Is there a way to remotely listen into the interior of the van or to at least make it so whoever is inside isn't able to hear me in my apartment?

It's driving me crazy!

My apartment complex is newer and is somewhat in the countryside with no traffic so i used to enjoy lighting a bowl on my back patio, but now i cant cause one van or the other is always fucking there!

 

Maybe it is pigs, but they're not there for me, maybe they're trying to bust some dealer or something(i dont sell).

What if it has nothing to do with my frequent rants about the industrial/tech system, but they stumble across in their investigation and decided to take me out?

no, you have the right to demand id from any1 parked near your house that looks like a official worker or anything, if they refuse id..then ya know theyre feds or something, but i think even feds if youd ask would have to prove who they are..

sure...parabolic mics, ..and soundproofing your apt (and being 100% sure its not bugged)
but probly your just paranoid..they maybe park there to waste time and smoke joints

just walk up and ask for id and you'll know..lol

Is there a cheap instrument i could pick up at a radio shack that would be able to pick up that signal(or if possible a site with info on building such a device)?

On the other hand it might not be the feds, it might be state, county, or city guys.

If they can bust a mom for her kids downloading songs on their home PC, who knows what excuse they'll find to weed out those a bit more "alternative"...

I think your concerns have merit. If they are monitoring this site, you and PR would be near the top of the dissident list. It is possible to detect the radio signal coming from bugs placed in your house and I think the device is quite simple and cheap at stores that sell phone bugs and hidden cameras. I would move if they are still around in a week and there is no sign of major work being done in the building, or if they disappear once you show interest in their presence. Paranoia will only annoy ya, but ignorance will get you in the detainment centre. Better to live on the run than in a cage, the cage is the worst feeling in the world. Don’t let them scare you into being submissive.

Ever considered moving out of the country? The situation here is pretty lax for now on the anti-state stuff up here compared to some of the US. Especially with the marijuana laws, that could be a perfect excuse to ransack your apt. Jesis murphy I feel sorry for you guys.

 

Well, I'm not sure if what you're describing, Shane99x, is really something that you need to worry about or not. One thing that I do know is that the government doesn't need a 'legitimate' reason to mess with anybody. I figured that out a long time ago. I've had too many bad experiences with it to believe that all the government's doing is chasing real criminals. Good luck. You'll need it.
