This question has been bugging me, I would gladly die for the true answer. But I wan't to hear your theories! SO, it's been said that the earth began by the "Big bang" ...so alright, assuming I agree completly. That's the earth. BUT!!! How did the universe begin, and what was it before..all the stars and planets inhabited it. How did the darkness even begin...and what was outside of this darkness White? Well then where does the white end.... Where did it begin and where does it end. And It can't just end there has to be something outside of it. SO wtf? I need to fucking know!
"You see it is a thing about your religions, your fundamentalists, basically take the word to be the word. It cannot be interrupted, it is not a metaphor, like i said what about genesis. In the beginning let there be light, could it be a metaphor for the big bang, the creation of the universe, in that instant?" "no god just went click"
Uh, what? The Big Bang. The big bang is most likely. The universe probably expands and contracts on itself repeatedly for eternity. We will never know. But we are here now, and isn't that great?
...you didn't really answer the question. You want to elaborate on why you feel that way? Edit: Or did I misread your post?
sure, our senses were developed to percieve the physical universe we live in.. so anything extroneous to the current universe, we cannot percieve due to the curvature of space, it is impossible to leave the universe. if you travelled straight up from where you are sitting, and kept going... you wouldn't reach the edge of the universe, you'd end up returning to exactly where you are now (assuming you found a way to travel through any solid objects you encounter en route) if there is no way to percieve what was before, outside, or will be after the current universe... anything that we cannot prove exists is known as nothing there is no way reach outside of the universe, it itself stops us, so to us.. it is everything nothing exploded and became everything
repeating universe? i used to think that... only trouble is, that theory still doesn't give a starting point it is possible that all the matter of the universe has simply always existed of course
darkness doesnt actually exist, because darkness is just the absence of light, so the universe was never white, it was always dark. and it doesnt end its infinite.
OK fair enough, but when it comes to curvatures of space and physics I think I'll trust Hawking over you . I lean towards this.
Chapter13 Not sure what gave you that idea! Don't need a strating point. It's a one-off, and ongoing. Is it conceived? More likely conceivable. How else will we ever get used to being born babies!
hawking thinks we can reach outside the universe? lol it's not my idea, i'm no physicist... it's einsteins theory of relativity and steven wienbergs ideas i was very loosely paraphrasing
Hawking believes in the Big Bang. So when you say you don't, and then start talking curvatures of space, I kind of lean towards thinking you're talking out your ass.
Dope's right, but he begs the question! lol He's a knowledgable destructor when it comes to figments! It's conceived all up, but we feed a good fiction. Im intin wisk reach yas
you did misread me... there was an explosion... there was a big bang... there was just no stick of dynamite (matter) or fuse (starting reaction) to trigger and fuel it and we are all talking out our arses... even hawking... until we find a way to travel in time... survive till the death of the universe (unless it's a flat universe) or a second universe comes into existance inside our universe.. it's all just speculation and guesswork
