I'm just a few days from seed now, but I know as flowering time comes, it's very important that the plants be in dark for 12 hrs a day. I'm growing in a bedroom closet (doors open). Looking in at the closet, there's a window on the wall to the left, and a door on the right. I've taped two moving blankets over the window, but there's still light coming in thru some tiny holes and thru the edges. Looking at the door, there's a light leak running down it. Now I don't think any of these light beams are reaching the closet, but it makes it possible to make out the HPS hood in the dark. I tried taking pics, but the leaks aren't THAT bad, pics come out pitch black. Wondering if it's gonna be ok...

Light leaks in theory are possible causes for hermies and plants reverting to veg, what I say is a crock of shit,if you have very small leaks then dont sweat it as plants will adapt to them with no negitives is what I have found time and time again.Even turning on you your closet light in the dark cycle will not neccesrily cause probs if for very brief periods.Really has bearing on how photo responsive the strain is.Obviously if the strain is very photo responsive then problems could occur otherwise rest at ease.

The full moon is pretty bright.

    Dark ain't all that dark.

Plus, flowering is bud specific. A branch with an isolated beam of bright light on it will not flower while the rest of the plant, kept in the dark, will.

    I'm back!
