How can you tell if someone is a narc?

Or trying to set you up or something of the sort?

I've never got that vibe from anyone, but this guy just gives me that type of vibe. Maybe it's because everyone else I've smoked with, I've known forever. But this guy, he's 26 and just started working with me a month-ish ago. I guess he has lived here for a few years though, he has a kid too. Just random info I guess.


But anyways, one day we were working a day shift together (only me and him working) and he starts telling me about parties and drinking beer etc.. I was just like "yeah, thats cool. getting drunk is fun" After he seemed cool I told him that the previous night I was trippin' shrooms. He then commented on someone saying I was a hippie and the Phish sticker on my car.


Okay, so after that he started talking about weed. Saying how he smoked every day, etc.. Then he said he was out of weed and that we should throw in together and buy like an eighth. This is where I started thinking it was strange, who goes splits an 8th? It's only like 20-25. I told him I could get him a guy. But he was like "I don't do things like that, I share with people"

Fast forward, he keeps asking me to find weed for him because his guy doesn't have any. I just keep acting like I can't get ahold of anyone.


Now today, he calls me and tells me he can get an O for $95 but wants someone to throw money in AND go pick it up for him because he's busy right now.

It just seems really shady to me. So how exactly could you tell if someone is a narc or trying to set you up?

*also; he seems really knowledgeable about weed, he knows slang, things about growing, scientific names, etc. He also called LSD by purple microdot. I thought that was interesting too.

-wear a phany pack
-wear sunglasses...always
-have a badge
-have a walkie talkie
-refuse to smoke a cigarette
-refuse to take of hat
-refuse to take of boots, or shoes
-are carrying a map for some reason
-have to use the washroom frequently
-don't eat in front of you
-offer to buy you things
-looks kinda of dirty but has decently kept hair
-refuses to show you their wallet
-has pictures of family members in their wallet
-etc. etc.

 

Look up Manswers. They did a show on it. It was pretty good.

 

If they tell you too much of their private life.
Have a neatly groomed beard.
Ask you to hang out with them.

 

Sounds fishy, but he could just be a dude wanting to toke up. I say play it out a little longer, get to know him better. If he's a narc he won't waste his time on someone giving him the run around, he will move onto the next guy, as narcs want results.

 

Honestly this guy isn't gonna try and fuck you over an eigth, he sounds like a ex teenager pothead that wants some weed again. but it is a little weird that he wanted you to go like buy an ounce for him, thats the only thing that makes him sketch; I'd tell him to forget about that o.

Yeah, I'm definately not picking anything up for him. So far my plan is to maybe bring some bud to work one day when were alone and I'm going to let him smoke first.

But I told him about some 50's I was getting. He told me he wanted an 8th of it. So I guess I'll just get a quarter.

3. the microdot thing is interesting. NOBODY i have met that deals or even talks about acid has ever reffered to it as microdot. most websites and anti drug sources have it under a nickname tho. thats sketchy as fuck he said that.

like people have said before, dont do anything you wouldnt do in front of a cop for now. get to know this guy a little more.

my first acid connection called it microdot. purple microdot as a matter of fact he ran out before i could go get any though from then on he just got viles or WoW. but yeah "microdots" aren't some like big secret that normal people don't know about.
