how can i convince my mom?

i've been with the same guy for 2 years, and actively having sex with him for one.

i use a condom almost everytime, but sometimes i forget and sometimes, condoms just break.

i asked my mom for birth control, just because i want to be even safer, and safe for those times we forget a condom, or one unfortunately breaks.

she looked at me like i as absolutely insane. I'm going to be 16, and i feel like i am responsible enough to be having sex. so what at all is harmful or irresponsible about taking a pill once a day just to be safer?

she told me absolutely not, and that she doesn't want me having sex. but she knows i do, and never has she attempted to stop me. she told me if she puts me on the pill then i will never be allowed to see my boyfriend again, so then whats the point of the pill?

how can i convince her to let me on it, because i know there is no way for me to get it unless i just swing by the doctors and say "hey, i'm pretty much 16 and i want you to write me a prescription for a birth control substance. my mom said no and without her consent i'm pretty much fucked, unless you wanna help a sister out please?" and hope for a positive response.

 

go to your local planned parenthood, see what they can do to help you out

completely depends onthe set of statutes/laws that your state has in place regarding youth and doctors. im not even from your country, but i know that PP is a great source of information and often has low cost birth contorl available, you would be best to call them up and ask them about it

You would think your mom would put in on the pill knowing that you are having sex. She doesn't want to help raise a baby, does she? Does she not like for you to be on the pill because she is against it or afarid of you talking it? If she doesn't put you on it, I would still use something. When you get 18, put yourself on it, if you want.

 

If I am your friend then tell me what user name she uses, i do not accept that she spy on us like that and i dont even know whom she is, it doesnt go.

my boyfriend is only 2 months older than me.

& she doesn't want me on the pill because she thinks it will keep me from having sex. but i am going to anyway. and i do use condoms, but they have broken on me from time to time & i want the pill to be extra safe.

 

first i would have told her you want to use the pill beucase you have a really irregular period and it is abnormally heavy and you heard the pill will make it better. i did that beucase it was the truth, but with some side benefits But yeah, get a ride to planned parenthood. if you don't have a job they'll give it to you for free. and be careful not to let your mom find it in your room.

the reason i need to go to planned parenthood isn't because i'm afraid to ask my mom, it's because she said no.

hey. hmm. well i dunno how it is there, but here in ireland, once you turn 16 you can get the pill from the doctor under complete confidentiality. no questions asked. is it the same there? if so, u can just wait till your 16, then your mom cannot stop you. its your choice then. i dunno if this has been helpful at all... sorry if it hasnt

 

same way in Canada, but i dont know what its like in the states
