Hi everyone i need some critics (other than my parents) to tell me whether i am a good drawer and painter. Id appreciate you input in my drawing future what do u think?ill put up some more later
forget the background that ones more conceptual this should be the background to everypage on the website i love this one
Great job! Like Shaba mentioned, the first one is phenominal! Your parents aren't pulling your chain, you've got some serious talent. Keep it up!
I think your ideas are really good, maybe you need to practice technically. However who am i to say? Oh and as a student of conceptial art at university can i ask you what the "concept" is behind the "conceptual" background? its just i know so many people do things and call it conceptual with out ACTUALLY know what conceptual art is.
lol i meant conceptual, because i didnt spend enough time doing detail on the figures, therefore, its just a 'concept' at the moment. i could have spent more time on it, but it was also on a shonky A4 piece of paper, they all usually end up on shocking paper.i didnt mean it in what art may say, coz honestly i dont know anything about art, i just paint. i do need some technical teaching, coz i hvent had one lesson. id like to learn how to use opaque paints, and how to use large canvases, coz i havent tried that b4. thanks for your comments, now dont go stealing it........
i dig them all... just think theres a little too much pain in the first and third but if that what´s you wanted to acomplish congrats... i personally love the one with the musical note because i took me 2 looks to realize it was a note hehehehe !!
well, i'd say you have a hell of a lot of potential if you either dedicate yourself to nothing else for a while or if you decide to go to a decent art school. you're already way better than most of us average fellas and dames, but as was mentioned there are some technical things you may want to look at. i may not be an artist, but i've got a good eye for specific things and can usually analyze it decently for a "lay" person. i like that first one a lot, its pretty interesting. the second one shows great effort and a good base level of skill, but its more readily apparent in it that you haven't spent a lot of time as an art student. problem spots (in my humble opinion) may be the chin/neck, the navel, and the shading and contours of the skirt. like i said, very good, quite a bit better than most people, but if you get some professional training in sometime soon you'll be better than you could imagine right now. (providing you get a good instructor) none of the criticism above is meant to indicate that your art isn't good; simply things to look at, think about, and try and improve on. if you think my opinions are wrong, consider them anyway, but if i'm wrong don't worry about it.
no i think your right, i did that one about two yrs ago, and i had no idea how to do faces. i definately agree that its a juvenile effort, but it was good for me back then thanks heaps nesta
I agree you have good potential but do need to work on it. Just to let you know your "conceptual piece" is then a prelimary(sp?) idea. Its known as a sketch. you should look into conceptual art sometime, parhaps, looking at your work, surrealism, thats quite conceptual.
