Do you think it makes a difference at all?
I normally wash with hot water thinking, something in my hair, maybe the heat will eat it.
But then I was thinking about cold weather making hair frizzy and maybe the same applies with cold water?
I dont know, maybe you do.

I always wash with hot then rinse with cold.... what my hair dresser told me when I went in every 6 weeks. when I had "normal hair".....which I am glad I dont have to do anymore..whew...something about warm water opens the cuticles for cleaning...and cold closes them...and makes ya shinny

same applies for the face...warm opens pores...cold closes

if you have bleach/dye on your hair/locks you should use cold water cause it shuts the pores of the hair and holds the colour longer or summat.

Hot water will emulsify and disperse oils and grease (and wax!) better than cold, and cold water will stimulate blood flow to the scalp - especially if done in alternating hot and cold blasts.

this is exactly what I do...

I don't rinse in cold to make it shiny though. I do it to close the pores to make my scalp less oily between washings. Plus, I love the feel of the cold water after a hot shower.

Well if you're trying to get them really clean it seems hot would work but i'd think cold would tighten them since things generally shrink in the cold.

When I had my dreads started here in Asia it was really hot and I used only cold water. I found when I switched to hot water I started getting itches! It's winter now, so I use luke warm water and rinse with cold and so far no probs.

Plus cold water closes makes it shiny!
