    Does anyone in here ride?

If you do, maybe you can solve this problem for me...........

I am a beginner rider, so maybe im doing something wrong, but riding my horse at trot gives me bruises on my ass where my hip bones pinch the flesh between the saddle. Do i need to use a different saddle? or is this just something you need to learn to get numb to?

what kind of saddle are you riding on? with english you sit more forward and with western/endurance you sit more on your butt.
sounds like you're getting bruises because you're bouncing too much. this isn't only rough on you but also on your horse. there's a kind of rhythm to it...practice just walking and try to get the feel for your horse's steps.
