    Hello everyone.
Recently, due to my being unemployed and not wanting to go into debt buying liquour, I decided to get into making my own wine. Well, last week I give it a shot and started a brew of a couple litres of grape/cranberry juice, yeast, and, since I had no white sugar, brown sugar. Now I hear it should take roughly 5 days for fermentation to be complete. It's been well over a week and it's still bubbling like crazy. Does anyone know if it's because I used brown sugar and it's taking the yeast a longer to break down the mollasses, or what? I was hoping to filter and drink it today but it looks like it's still actively fermenting. Any feedback/answers from those who have homebrewed before?

Ok, there has been no response, so I'll answer to my own thread. It turned out just fine after 2 weeks with a decent alcohol percentage. I have recently made over 6 litres with pure grape juice which turned out wonderful.
