There has been alot of talk about The Da Vinci Code on the forums lately, and I was curious if any one has read Holy Blood Holy Grail, which was the source of alot of Dan Brown's material concering Jesus and Mary Magdalene.

I started reading it, but I'm only on the 2nd chapter. I'm just wondering if anyone here has read it, and if so, what is your opinion?

I consider it a much more difficult read that The Da Vinci Code. It's slower and much more technical. To be honest, I gave up after chapter 2. It was too dry for my tastes.

I've only started reading it but so far so good. Lots of technical things. Although I try to research on the topics there so that I'll have a broader perspective on what I'm reading about.

I read it when it was first published. It is a difficult read full of references and cross references. And they seemed to jump from premise to premise in no real order. But as a reference it can't be beat. I loaned it to a friend in the 80s who was a Nez Perce Indian and never got it back. Go figure.
