I was watching this documentary during my most recent trip and as I listened to the words of the original lsd researchers I was struck with such beautiful insight that i burst into tears. It was the most cleansing feeling I've ever had. Like being newborn. Anyone with similar experiences care to relate?
well one time i dropped then went into a movie but brought my headphones, i walked out feeling so amazing i burst into tears and collapsed to the ground at how beautiful living and breathing was. ahhh great memories!
Seems to me that I read years ago that Hoffman was working on a solution for menstruation cramps when he accidently got psychedelisized. Anybody? I was able to claim my life from alcoholism and craziness from the first time I took it.

Ergot had been used for centuries to aid chilbirth. It is a vasoconstrictor, especially for uterine vascular tissue, as well as it induces labor by promoting uterine contractions. Hoffmann was researching those qualities when he stumbled across LSD-25, the 25th "concoction" in a series of experiments. That was in 1938. He revisited LSD-25 in 1943 when he accidentily ingested some. The rest is psychedelic history. Albert is responsible for literally millions of women and chidren surviving childbirth due to the medications he developed as a result of the work with ergot alkaloids.
