Hi all, first of all nice to eMeet you all eheh Basically, what is up is that I backcombed my hair on monday (for the 2nd time after having gotten bugs and combed it all last year) and was just basically after a few pointers after last time, as before i was using muchos wax etc. I've decided that I'm not gonna use wax or do anymore backcombing etc. after reading what people have posted on this forum, but was just wondering would I probably be better just leaving it alone apart from idly playing with it from now - or should I make an effort to palm roll them etc. Another point I've noticed is that the hair on the ends of my backcombed bits is no longer knotted up, and has sort of returned to its original straight, slightly curly state - upto 3-4 inches on some of them, should I do something about that or again just leave it to sort itself out? I don't have any pics at the moment my cam needs more batteries, but I'll upload some tomorrow if anyone's interested. Thanks
hay im kinda in same sit but ive had mines for 7wks.i took the bands out last wk,and done my 1st wash last nite, was good barr few loose hairs all is good.im gust sticking to washing too.if some feel loose i bkcomb em again.hope this helps tc x
Well, if you go the natural way, no backcomb no wax your hair will sort itself out yes, no need to palm roll of anything, your hair dont really knot that way I know when I try it doesnt work too much, just need to wait. The loose end will knot with time too, but there might be an inch or two of loose, but not 4 inches. Oh and for the pics, I'm interested haha.
im interested too dont bavckcomb again if u do it once do it an dont again the tips will sorty emselves but its fine to have a lil loose haitr there that wont knot or some moight u may bet balls or loops or flat beavertails or blunt ends or fuzzy lions tails they do what they so its all a beautiful mystery till q1 day you pick yp a dread and you see some strange and beautiful formation yuoud never imagined livin right there in yopur hair
Hmm thanks for the help so far guys - I think I'm just gonna leave it and let it do it's own thing. I'm getting some of them wrapped with wool in a few days which I think should look pretty funky. And, as requested, here is a sample of my awesomely terrible photography These are 1 week old today and I think they look pretty suave so far:
Yeh, I hope so Last time I had my hair backcombed I ended up trying to remove them due to bugs.. due to all the wax this was a rather painful process taking a few days - Think I'm gonna leave out the wax this time
