Are there any requirements or traits that are necessary to posses to be a hippie? in my openion i beleave a hippy should be peaceful...loving...care about the enviorment and the people of the world 7. Is there ever a time when you “step out”? my hippy identity is important in my everyday life cuz it helps me help my self and others ...and it keeps me happy. i never step out...cuz this is who i am 10. I just live my life like I want to..... confusing question 6. What places do you go to? etc etc on a regular ungrounded day i mostly smoked weed. But now I read alot, and Im on the computer alot. im starting to watch FSTV some too. and now, the plants Ive been growing, well I clipped and dried some, and they are dry now, and I should smoke again tonite. What attracted you to this subculture/group and not others? It's all about being true to one's self. Not lying to one's self. The idea of conforming to an image is discarded. I think the music is what originally attracted me to it. But the values of truth, peace, happiness, and liberal thought are what kept me. 6. [Generation Y is the generation of youth today, from teenagers to 30 year olds] IT IS NOT IMPORTANT AT ALL TO SOCIETY AS WE KNOW IT. Hippies try to change society for the better. Hippies are the enemy of modern society's values. We are humanity's doctors and surgeons. We are trying to fix the society that we live in. We are fixing it through the search for truth, justice, peace, and happiness. 8. Why do you think Generation Y is important? Stupid question. Every generation is important because each one sculpts society one way or another. 9. How important is your hippie identity in everyday life? Is there ever a time when you “step out”? Yes. I don't have to dress like a hippie to think and act like one. I don't have to conform to the hippie identity because the moment i do that, i lose the hippie thought pattern. I can do whatever I want. If I want to dress and act like a hippie, then I will, but if I don't for some reason, (like a funeral or another formal setting) then I can step out of the hippie identity. 10. What kind of activities (hobbies/interests) do you occupy yourself with in your free time? What places do you go to? etc etc Music creating, love making. I love to mountain bike.
