I am hitting the road for several months, leaving Nova Scotia on April 2nd, and heading across Canada. My planned stops thus far are Sussex, NB; Miriamchi, NB; Quebec, QC; Ottawa, ON; Brockville, ON; Waterloo, ON; Winnipeg, ON (and a few stops in-between that are not yet determined) Stettler, AB; Calgary, AB; Edmonton, AB; Jasper, AB; Dawson Creek, BC, and taking the Alaska highway to Whitehorse, YT; Whitehorse to Houston, BC via the Stewart Cassiar hwy; Kamloops, Kelowna, Vancouver, Victoria, Comox (all in BC). That is the Canadian portion. The American leg will be the west coast, San Francisco, San Diego, and any points in-between, with a nice journey down the Washington and Oregon coasts along the way. By October I expect to find my way to Mexico for the winter. I have some friends joining me for portions of the journey but am open to taking along a new friend or two, as my camper has two beds, and we can share gas/food. I am not your mother, so travelers must be able to fend for themselves, and cover their own costs. If you've been living in your mother's basement for 10 years and have just $5 bucks in your savings account, this is not your ride. My feline companion, Stormy will be with me for much of the time traveling through Canada, so travelers with severe asthma or pet allergies would struggle. So if you want to message me privately or post something here, I'm interested to see if anyone is ready to hit the road this spring. For interest's sake - I'm a 43 year old straight woman, happily divorced for the past 10 years, with a wonderful 23 year old daughter I'll be visiting in the Yukon. I am not an uber athlete but enjoy being active on my own schedule, and am just as content curled up with a book as I am paddling my kayak across the still waters of a gorgeous lake. I am looking for friends, not partners to join me on this journey. I'm a pretty laid back individual, with few hangups I like to think. Who's game?
