Looking like I'll be hitting the road again. This time a bit more prepared compared to the last few times. It won't be anything like the first time, when I was a kid and had nothing but my jacket & pocket knife (dang runaways, not thinking in advance!). Now I have my truck and my tent. A couple of tents in fact. Attached is a few pics of my main tent. It's old, about 1959 I think, I checked it out, and no mildew or mold that I can see. Just thought I'd share my views with a few of ya. Insight is welcome!
Not sure. Have to stay local and take care of a few issues. Like a ticket I got because a local pig didn't like my opinion. So I have court for that. After that, and the other crap I have to take care of, maybe two months later on the outside, who knows. The tent is great, and in the past when I stayed in it during winter I found ways to keep it warm. Using magnets to hold up fleece throws along the walls and ceiling. That did really good. I just don't have the throws any more. I have also set up smaller tents inside, and that did really well when camping with others in snowy/cold weather (just don't use the stakes for the inner tents). Up here the typical winter has sub zero temps around mid November. Last year the first sub zero day was 11/22. So that'll give me a couple months or there abouts locally.
