Check out Oberlin, it's a small liberal arts college in Ohio, near Cleveland, that I went to on a campus visit when I was checkin' out schools (I ended up going to Pitt). Oberlin's the most bohemian lookin' place I've ever seen. Just about everyone looks like a pothead there. Its main department is the Conservatory of Music, from what I hear. I would've considered it more except it was a really small town, and I was looking to get away from that, having grown up in enough of them.

There is a book called "colleges that change lives". It is a wonderful resource, and it is FULL on hippy colleges.

No, I don't really know of any in the midwest, but Antioch is my dream college! I absolutely love Yellow Springs too. The people are awesome there and the college is great. I really hope that's where I will end up, but it is just so damn expensive! Oh well, good luck finding something! :)

Yeah Grinnell's a good school, I visited it once when I was considering colleges. I liked most things about it, except the fact it was in the middle of Iowa.

check out northern michigan university. it gets extremely cold up there in the winter but it is a nice hippie type college. professors are very liberal and give great for speaking your mind. its cold but full of alot of super nice people. so if you dont mind the cold weather check it out, if u dont like winter it wouldnt be a good choice.

You should get out of the MidWest and check out Naropa University, it's in Boulder, CO. I don't go there now but I'm thinking about applying for next spring. I've heard lots of good things about it.
