My friend and i are taking a bike trip to the catskills, and we are going to be traveling around the mountains. i was wondering if anyone knew of any cool stores, sites, or just random hippie shit that we can see or do.

    thanks

i live in the catskills...its a pretty big area so I'll tell you about my kneck of the woods... there really isn't that much "hippie" wise...you can always go to Bethel for the original woodstock site (which can be somewaht fun), and theres this hippie like store (they changed their name so I dunno anymore) in Jeffersonville, also there is a town called Callicoon and they can have some pretty fun stuff... and if youre going to be there on the 11th, at the double E alpaca farm in Bethel theyre having their annual shearing day which can be fun....hoped I helped a little. Its just a really gorgeous area so I'm sure you'll find lots to do
