I was wondering if anyone on this forum had a hippie nickname back in the 60's?
.........they used to call me surly the sperm
nickname's are still in use, hi my name's Scoliosis Slim.
Yes! the same one I'm using today , PAX-MAN, It's Latin for peace man
A question is the beginning of enlightenment.
In the mid to late 60's, I was called "morning fire", because, even without a long night of party, I was still burned out the next morning.
Still am, come to think of it.
I never had a nick-name, but I knew a girl that was called Strawberry. And she didn't have red hair. The man I'm with now, he was called Zeb. I have no idea why.
Yes , my grandma called me Willow , and its stuck.
When I live at the Good Earth Commune they called me Nailcakes..
They used to call me *Miel from den Toek*
Mine is still Flavus outside of the cyberspace, latin for a fair-haired man
Way, way back, I think '65. I was smoking some good buds with some good buds <grin>. I fell in a mud puddle cuz we were laughing so hard. After I dried I started brushing off the dried mud. I was a dust cloud. So I became Dusty. And by God I'm still Dusty.
One fine day I was smokin some good bud with some good buds <grin>. I was laughin so hard I tripped and fell into a mud puddle. After a while, when I dried up the mud started flaking off and everybody started callin me Dusty. It stuck and I still go by Dusty.
Well, I wasn't here in the sixties, nor was I thought of. But everyone calls me Moonshadow because I love Cat Stevens and I always sing that song. : )
ive been called lennon on numerous occasions... i have others though.
My dad's side is a very conservative one, and therefor I am known as Lennon. Outside of that, my mom used to tell me stories of a fellow named Tom Terrific, a good man who was named after a TV character.
Mine was Sunshine. Theres a long story behind that though.
I was called "punkin" , My old pals Hard Hearted Hanna and Doc gave it to me,Why,,no idea, but it stuck for 25 years
Even though I was born in 1990, I fully believe I was alive in the 60's=]
my hippie name today is Mama Meadow, always will be. and I have a good feeling it was back then, too.
Here here! Well said Mama Meadow Call me Herb. Its what they all think anyway around here so that is what it is!
I used to answer to "Buzz-"as in' Hey Buzz' ! or Whats going on tonight "Buzz",
You can say I was often looking for a "Buzz"(or some one else was looking for a a buzz) - so the name stuck until our close group of friends kinda went separate ways.
now that I think about it , it was just a nickname -not a hippie nickname- Jungle became my nickname, for obvious reasons(I was asked to play in the jungles for 13 months -a long time ago)
Now its Jack- or J-Jack- has been for a long time:hat:
Separate names with a comma.
