I got this at Borders I believe a year or so ago. It is so awesome and amazing. Was wondering if anybody else has seen it/have it/ or want it?!? Got a picture of a big old VW Van on the front. It has pretty much events/people/music/slang/fashion/etc. in it. Aww I found a picture of it.

So tell me about it and what you learned from it, I would love to know. I've been thinking about getting it.

I'm with flowerchild, I've been thinking about getting the book for a while. Just keep forgetting to look at it while I'm at the bookstore. I was a tad bit hesitant with buying it, thinking it would be more of a parody than anything.

    Any feedback would be terrific!

I bought this last summer, and I still dig into it all the time. It's just like the title says - a dictionary, meaning the explanations are pretty brief and to the point. However, there are a LOT of entries. I think it's worth it if you find 60s and 70s lingo and people fascinating....

The entires range from things like "Whiskey-A-Go-Go" and "Black Panther Party" to "infuckingcredible" and "trailer park meth"

If it is a parody, its a highly complete and entertaining one.

i like that book a lot, it ended up in my collection a while ago and I still pull it out and read random definitions or look up some slang that I heard somewhere.

Yeah, I have this book. Very good for remebering long lost phrases. I used it as a reference for my novel Rules of the Road (Tangent Books) Mike Manson
