Okay so my friend and I are taking a roadtrip this summer in British Columbia (Canada) and we want to stop at some hippie communes. We don't care where, as long as we can drive there Does anybody know any good communites where we can just go there and be accepted and have a great time full of peace and love (and maybe a bit of smoking ;P)? We also want to meet some really groovy and free spirited people who like having a good time and listening to cool music. We just want to get away from a materialistic and commerical society for a while, and be free and natural and not have to worry about anything or anyone thinking we are weird. We want to be in a place where people just accept everybody- like how we imagine Woodstock to have been like. We've heard that Nelson BC is kind of a Bohemian place... has anybody been there and recommend it?? Peace, -Juniper
I found a cool commune, well its kind of a commune.. It's a Buddhist monastery, they let me stay there and camp + food to help fix up some of their buildings.. its right outside of Osoyoos, in the Okanagon Provincial Park
Hi! What's it like there? Do you like it? What kinda people there? Where is is it? Is there any info online? Can anyone come? Any info would be appreciated. I'm already in Okanagan.
