so i hear theres two ways to get them done. getting the surface skin pierced with a bar going through, or these individual inplants-i think thats what they call them-that are placed to look like a bar is going through but its just two ends that have anchor things that hook into your skin. :S i want to get both of my hips done but i dont know what method would be most likely to not reject, or have many problems. any suggestions? BTW i've seen pictures when people had them for two years and they are still red and puffy. how could i avoid this, if i were to get it done?
I'm really not a fan of surface piercings. I've never seen them heal right, and I know a LOTTA kids with gnarly scars or still-festering surface piercings. I'm actually getting a series of three microdermals going down my right temple within a week or two... I'd say go with the implants. But be prepared to be extremely irritated by pants.
I agree that microdermals would prob be best and to make sure they are not at your pants line. Other then that just be warned that with surface piercings it's not really a will it reject or not but more a how long to I have before it rejects- which is not necessarily a problem, like it could take 2 months to 5 years who knows, but chances are eventually it will give you some problems. But do it up- i'm sure it will be sweet and really satisying!
I say go with the microdermal. My friend just got one on her wrist to too long ago, and she said it wasn't bad at all, and she hasn't had any issues with it either. The scar for that will be tiny compared to the nasty one from a surface bar.
i've never seen surface piercings heal right either, thats why i was doubting it. i'll probablly get the microdermals then. i dont plan on getting then on my pants line not even under the pants line cause one of my friends got it done below her pants line and they still get irritated, so above my pants line it will have to be. :] thanks.
