That's right hip hop is evil-----forget that music and dig the blues man! Blues all the way!

There is nothing evil or wrong, man-----just emotion and singing from the heart.

"I'm going to say something to you,
I don't care how you feel.
    You just don't realize...
You got yourself a good deal--
    She's 19 years old,
She's got ways jus' like a baby child..."

Oh wait------forget that song. I mean---there are all kinds of others.

    "Good morning little school girl.
Can I go home with you.
Tell your mama and your daddy
I'm a little school boy too..."

No----not that one! Forget that one!

"I went down to the crossroads,
    fell down on my knees.

    Down to the crossroads,
    fell down on my knees..."

Errr, wait... That one's about making a deal with the devil, but you know-----there's a lot of good stuff!

Can't beat the Blues man!! ;-)

Here's something from way back (1985). I love this song, posted it many times. Creative, powerful, and that bell sound being used always mesmerizes me.

Yeah like I said Bubba Sparxx fills a niche.

While he was expected to be a one hit wonder, overall in terms of his body of work I'd say he did better than Vanilla Ice

Indeed. And it says right in the youtube title its an instrumental version.

Instrumental hip hop may sound like an oxymoron (actually instrumental rap even more), but its a wellknown and appreciated aspect of hip hop for years.

Sometimes i like the instrumental take at least as much. Or just play it in a good playlist instead of the standard version just for the variety, or enjoying all the musical characteristics more.

I'm the same with roots reggae and its huge (yuuge!) component called dub. Give me some pot and my reggae dub collection and i'm good for hours :grinning:

    Me and the devil,
    Walking side by side.
    Me and the devil,
Gonna take you on a long and evil ride.
    The woman is a devil,
    That's what I've been told.
    Woman is a devil,
    That's what I've been told.
    She'll take all your money,
Then she'll spend all your gold.

    wtf? :flushed:

yes i agree blues, jazz, classic music is real music, meaning not "Monotone" , diversified from beginning to end, meaning you cant reproduce any of them with a simple keyboard within 30 minutes (as you admitedly can do with hiphop:blush:). btw some reggae (not dancehall!) also belongs to the same genuine music league as jazz, blues, classic

i (once :unamused:) agree with you , i also love conscious reggae, and conscious reggae only, roots , roots, and dubs also, by the way check the dubs of lee "scratch" perry, all of them great, each single one gold as fork,
