Here's the rough idea of what'll go on:


Dates: June 23, 4:00 PM-June 25, 2:00PM (2006)

Events: Music, drum circles, frisby throwing, swimming in the river, walking around town (which can be reached by walking down the tow path which starts at the park), barbecue (veggie burgers! unless there are some meat-eaters who insist...), dancing, and just plain chilling. There is Bowman's Hill Tower, and a Wildflower Preserve/Park across the street to wander around as well. I am completely open to other ideas anyone has about what else to do, JUST PM ME.

Rules:
Parking is across the street from the park, at the Wildflower Preserve
No violence of course (that goes without saying I suppose)
Be reasonable and use good judgement with what you bring
Food will be brought by all- everyone bring a bit of something, as opposed to me charging an admission price.

I live like a mile and half from Washington's Crossing Park. I would love to come and help out.

Too many weirdo's in New Hope. That's why I moved that place has gone to shit!

 

mmmm this isn't going to be just a bunch of young kids in the woods hiding and smoking pot is it? lol I guess nothing wrong with that if thats what you like! But, why not try to have a potluck, a drum circle and be more family friendly, you might draw more out. Personally I wouldn't drag my young kids through the muddy woods unless we where staying there camping and nothing crazy was going on(well nothing different from the normal craziness expected). A gathering is a camp-out usually which needs to be well planned out and going to have at least one clean kitchen where you know what your doing to keep people safe and not sick. It needs to have plently of supplies because you never know how many you may feed. Plus, a good latrine system dug deep and away from the people yet accessable also well sulplied. The area you described sounded a little too crowded for a gathering... unless you just meant a meet up? I'm confused... not trying to be mean but I'd like to figure out what kind of thing(gathering, meet-up) this is. I'd be happy to help you plan and give you some ideas. You might want to start it out as a potluck first and go from there so everyone together can scout the area and determine whats best.

 

Washington Crossing on the Jersey side has some really amazing campgrounds. You have to get a permit though, but its very accessible and they have an observatory nearby and permit open fires and whatnot. Oh they also have latrines so its not roughing it if we were to do an overnight camp thing.

I'd recommend having it there if we were to do an overnight camping thing.
