Hip Avatars

Does anyone else find it a little strange that, on a hippie forum, you have to pay to have a custom avatar? I mean Im all for supporting the forums, and totally would if I wasn't completely broke. But heres the thing, I'm an extremely visual person, as I'm sure many more of you are, and usually, when I'm looking at the forum, to see what users have posted what, I go by the avatar picture instead of the name.

I know I know, its my fault for being a visual picture type person, but I like going by avatars, it adds individuality to everyone's I guess you'd say 'electronic hipforums personality'. I know its not a really big deal or anything, but I been coming to the forums since 2005 and everytime I come back I wonder why I havent changed my avatar to fit my personality, then I realise, I cant.

I wana put my own picture and stop getting confused by people having the same avatar. Anyway, its just something thats kinda bothered my since way back in '05 and I just wondered what everybody else thought.

See, even if I contribute and get my own avatar it wont really fix my problem of being confused by others having the same avatar.

Lol, besides only being $15, even if it was free and he could have a custom avatar, he still wouldn't be happy unless EVERYONE was forced to have a custom avatar... otherwise he still wouldnt be able to tell anyone apart...

It's too bad there wasn't something visual that differentiated between the various users on the board... maybe we could make up a system of symbols that we could use to represent our language in visual form and use that instead of custom avatars?

Lol. I dont spend any money on drugs each month, it all goes to the state and city in fines im afraid. Whats left over feeds me and my car. I got dialup so I disable sigs. Besides, sigs are annoying as hell. Its not like Im making a big deal of it, hence random thought.
Haha, very funny joke about words. Whatever, its just something I thought about every once in awhile, its not like I cant read, I just get used to associating the picture with a certain poster on other fourms.

This proves that there's not limit to how creative people can be in finding things to complain about.

 

I nearly got a custom Avatar, but I figured otherwise in the end.

Now I don't use one, think it might clutter things up a little.

 

I protest not having custom avatars by not using them at all.
