I absolutely love this music. It's some of the most emotionally uninhibited music ever produced. My favorite instrument besides the sitar is the sarangi. It's basically a violin type instrument with 40 drone strings. The name sarangi translates to "hundred colors" or something like that in Hindi. An appropriate name for the lush, haunting sound it produces. Check out some stuff on youtube!
